Frequently asked questions

How do I start tracking a shift?

Open the app and tap the Start Shift button on the Pool tab. RouteRooster will begin tracking your active time and will automatically detect when you accept or complete delivery jobs. To end your shift, tap the shift indicator at the top of the Pool screen and select End Shift. Your shift summary — active minutes and earnings per active hour — will appear in the Analytics tab.

How do I report a delay or hotspot?

Go to the Community tab and tap Share an alert. You can report a zone delay, a restaurant wait time, or a hot-zone demand signal. Posts are anonymised and visible only to nearby drivers. Community signals expire automatically — your contribution won't clutter the feed indefinitely.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Account → Delete account. You will be asked to confirm the deletion. Once confirmed, all your data — jobs, analytics, settings, community signals, diagnostics, and your login — is permanently and immediately deleted. This action is irreversible. If you have an active Pro subscription, cancel it in Google Play or the App Store first to avoid further charges.

How does the Pro subscription work?

The Free tier gives you up to 2 active pooled jobs and 7 days of analytics history — all core features are included at no cost. Pro upgrades your pool to 8 active jobs, expands your analytics history to 365 days, unlocks advanced analytics, and adds compliance reports — export your earnings vs FWC minimum rate threshold as a structured CSV. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS). You can cancel at any time; Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period, then reverts to Free.

How do I export my earnings data?

There are three export options:

  • Full data export (all users, free): Settings → Privacy & Data → "Export my data". Returns a structured bundle covering your jobs, analytics, settings, and community signals immediately.
  • Business Summary CSV (Pro): Tap the export icon on the Analytics tab. Exports your earnings, time metrics, CO₂, and per-carrier breakdown for a selected date range.
  • Compliance Summary CSV (Pro): Tap the export icon on the Analytics tab and select "Compliance summary". Exports your effective hourly rate vs FWC minimum rate threshold, with per-carrier shortfall detail.

How do I enable notification access on Android?

RouteRooster needs notification access to read delivery offer signals. When prompted during setup, tap Open Settings and grant notification access for RouteRooster. If you missed the prompt, go to Android Settings → Apps → Special app access → Notification access, and enable RouteRooster. Only allowlisted delivery app notifications are read — personal messages and other apps are never accessed.

How do I enable the HUD overlay on Android?

The HUD overlay requires the "Display over other apps" permission. Grant it during the setup flow, or go to Android Settings → Apps → RouteRooster → Display over other apps. Once granted, the overlay will appear automatically when you have an active route. You can dismiss or pause it at any time from within the overlay itself.

What platforms does RouteRooster support?

RouteRooster works alongside Uber Eats, DoorDash, Amazon Flex, Sherpa, and Hungry Panda. You can also add jobs manually. RouteRooster does not claim any affiliation with or endorsement from these platforms. Menulog is not supported.

Is Accessibility capture required?

No. Accessibility capture is entirely optional. RouteRooster's primary capture method is notification access, which handles the vast majority of delivery signals. Accessibility is a supplementary, read-only feature for edge cases where notification data is insufficient. You can leave it disabled and use RouteRooster fully without it. If you do enable it, sessions are read-only, restricted to supported delivery apps, and time-bounded to 90-second windows.

Does RouteRooster work on iOS?

Yes. The iOS app supports manual job entry, route view, earnings analytics, community feed, settings, and subscription management. iOS does not support notification ingest, the HUD overlay, or Accessibility capture — these are Android-only features that rely on Android-specific system permissions. All iOS capabilities are listed accurately in the App Store listing.
